Fake news is a kind of news which is false or untrue it can be spread by a rumor or a website online there are many types of fake news but the main 3 are propaganda, rumor mill, and miscommunication. Propaganda is mostly used to refer so some news in the negative sense for example Hitler would spread propaganda about Germany wining the war but in the truth they were losing. A rumor mill is basically rumors and gossip that has been spread so much that people actually believe it’s true this could be seen in schools and other places. Miscommunication is when a group of people fail to commutate so the information gets distorted and the person receiving that information doesn’t understand what the person speaking
 

Now fake news can be sent by the internet, for example people some people believe that the moon landing was a hoax because a website photoshoped a camera into it. Wikipedia said this about fake news Fake news has become popular with various media outlets and platforms. Researchers at Pew Research Center discovered that over 60% of Americans access news through social media compared to traditional newspaper and magazines. So even newspapers and magazines can have fake news. How to prevent fake news from going viral, this is something that can be helpful in research work too you would have to find two websites that say the same thing when two websites that don’t have something in common say the same thing is usually means that the fact is correct.
